I was born in the Bronx New York on March 8th a million years ago.  I have one brother 3 years younger than me.  We were middle class and had a good childhood.  Both my mother and father were from families of 7 children so I had lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.  My father worked for the NYC con Ed (electric Co.) and my mother worked for Tiffany and Co.  We did all the things that city kids do I guess.  We went ice skating and sledding in the winter.  Swimming at the beach and pools, picnics with the family in the summer. Holidays with all the relatives. It was a happy time in my life.

I met my husband through my brother.  My husband was a coach for my brother’s baseball team.  My brother and his friend convinced George that he should call me.   He called and invited me to his college Christmas dance.  Being in High school I naturally said yes.   And as they say the rest is history.   We were married 2 ½ years later, 10 days after he graduated from  Fordham University.   We will celebrate our 49th anniversary on June 18th.   As he was AF ROTC we left 6 months after we were married for Marianna Fl. were he entered Pilot training School.  After training in schools in Big Springs Texas, Phoenix, AZ. and Las Vegas, we crossed the ocean to Chaumont, France where in 1959 our son, Larry was born.  Upon returning to the states Diane joined our family in 1961.  Dawn was born in 1970.

Besides the states I already mentioned we've lived in Ohio, New Jersey, Staten Island, N.Y. and all over Florida.  (Fort Walton Beach, Homestead,

and now Winter Park).   We love Florida so when it was time for George to retire we chose the Orlando area.  We have good friends from Homestead who live across the street from us.  We will live in this house for 29 years in Dec.  After living in 18 different homes in 20 years it was good to settle down and I said I never want to move again.

All my children are married and I have 3 grandchildren.  My oldest granddaughter, Lauren, will graduate from High School next week he will be 18 on June 7th. (Hard to believe)  My Granddaughter, Valerie, is 17 and Grandson, David is 8.
